Responsibilities The Counter Sales Professional is responsible for supporting the Resource Center’s Operational performance, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, driving sales and fulfilling customer needs in a manner consistent with the company’s core values. Summary of duties include but are not limited to: Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and providing a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers. Assisting customers in the store by taking their orders, pulling items, and billing them accordingly. Handling customer warranty claims and credit returns in a timely fashion by completing all appropriate documentation, receiving product items back prior to processing of any claims or credits in accordance with standard operating procedures. Assisting customers in loading products/material into their vehicles when necessary. Accurately entering sales orders into Sales Order Entry System and sales transactions in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedures. Maintaining the Resource Center’s appearance in accordance with Company policy and safety standards. Continuously demonstrating a high-level of product knowledge. Following-up with customers when required and notifying manager if/when necessary. Providing the highest level of customer and technical service to our customers by: effectively meeting our customers’ needs, providing high level of technical expertise and product knowledge, properly providing quotes, promptly and accurately processing sales orders, researching products/services, properly answering questions and providing timely information and responses. Experience/Requirements: 2-5 years experience in the Automotive Parts industry. Must be proficient in the use of computers and have ability to learn our parts management software. Pinnacle Pro and Hollander Interchange is a plus ! Must possess good communication skills and ability to professionally interact with a wide variety of customers both over the telephone and in person. Must possess a good work ethic and be able to work well with other team members. Must be able to lift and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must possess the analytical and cognitive abilities required to accurately enter data into the Company’s Sales Order Entry System, perform product and equipment research, and enter sales orders into the system and follow-up on customer orders. Must be able to accurately attend to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Most possess above average communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions. Physical Environment / Working Conditions: Physical: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk and sit on stool for the majority of the workday (approximately 40 hours per week). The employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; lift up to 50 pounds. Work is performed with telephone equipment, computers, fax, printer and scanners.
